Douglas E. Cramer, ABOC, NCLE

Contact Lens Examiner,
Founder
A professional optician since 1982, Doug has worked in all aspects of the optical field. These previous experiences in Opticianry, Optometry and Ophthalmology are the foundation on which Michigan Optical was founded. Extensive contact lens training at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia and ophthalmic medical optics at Baylor College of Medicine - Houston, has enabled Doug to fit even the most complicated contact lens cases. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Opticianry and National Contact Lens Examiners, Professional Registered Opticians, Fellow of National Academy of Opticianry, Member of Opticians Association of America, Current member and past Board of Director for the Opticians Association of Michigan.
Diana L. Koslowske, OD
Optometrist
Dr. Koslowske received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from University of Michigan in 1985 and her Doctor of Optometry degree from Indiana University in 1989. She did her clinical externships at Oklahoma City's VEF Ocular Pathology Clinic in Oklahoma City, Indiana University Student Health Center's Red Eye Clinic and Atwater Eye Care Center and Indianapolis Eye Care Center. Dr. Koslowske also is certified to specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of learning-related visual problems by the Baltimore Academy of Behavioral Optometry. With over 22 years of experience, Dr. Koslowske provides primary eye care, emergency eye care, the diagnosis and management of ocular diseases, degenerations, and infections, and all types of contact lens fittings. Specializing in pediatric developmental optometry, she offers diagnostic testing and vision therapy for binocular and visual processing problems that may interfere with the ability to read and learn efficiently or cause headaches if not detected. She is an active member of the West Michigan Optometric Association and joined Michigan Optical in 2006.
Chad J. Jackson, OD
Optometrist
Dr. Jackson received his Bachelors of Science in Nutritional Science
from Michigan State University in 1994. He graduated with his OD degree
from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1998. From 1998 to 2005 he
practiced in his hometown of Clare, MI. Full scope general optometric care, including thorough medically based exams for all ages. Diagnosis and management of ocular disease and contact lens fittings. Dr. Jackson joined Michigan Optical in 2010.
Samantha Cramer
Optical Technician
Sam has been with Michigan Optical since May 2008. Sam works with the patients to select the perfect frame for the patient's personal needs and tastes. As a technician she assists with pre-testing, visual fields, pachymetry as well as lab responsibilities including repairs and adjustments. She also oversees our ordering of eyeglasses and contact lenses. Well versed in medical and vision insurance, Sam is able to assist with most insurance billing needs.
Jennifer Hartwick
Optical Technician
Jen joined Michigan Optical in June 2011. Bringing with her a unique blend of customer service skills, financial and office management skills along with a developed skill towards technical tasks. With a degree in Communication, Jen is able to easily translate her skills directly to the needs of our patients. She is well versed in the total operations in the office as well as performing specialized testing such as Perimetry, Digital Retinal Photography. Jen also has a great eye for style and is able help our patients select the proper eyeglass frames and lenses for fit, function and style.
